Investigation of the Theory of: the Triad Relation between Religious Texts and Rational Knowledge in Mulla Sadra's Writings

Abstract:
Mulla Sadra has many references to Quran’s verses and narrations in his interpretation and description of ‘Osool Kafi’; and refers to each one in a different way. He refers to the religious texts which are appropriate means of inferring rational knowledge in three different ways. This article claims that while Mulla Sadra searches for the relation between religious texts and rational knowledge, he uses a kind of half-hidden method in getting use of religious texts (Quran’s verses and the narrations). Investigation and discovery of this method helps us to understand the method of his rational inferences from these texts much better. It should be mentioned that this hypothesis is not a mere claim rather I have presented some indications and clues in each step, as much as possible in this writing. In some cases, religious texts have a special role in the inference and deduction of rational knowledge. The above mentioned triad method proves the claim and hypothesis of this theory.
