Spatial interpretation of climatic comfort of Lorestan province based on TCI index

Tourism is an element depends on climate so that suitable climate and weather forecast in the destination is an attractive factor for tourists. In this research we used 9 synoptic stations data and TCI index of Lorestan province for comfort assessment of the province. This index use 7 climatic factors includes: rainfall, temperature, mean and minimum relative humidity, maximum temperature, daily sunshine hours and wind speed. To determine tourism calendar we used a 15 years data and analyzed the data with EXCEL to calculate TCI for every months. finaly we used GIS to mapping data. The results of this present work shows that the TCI is very different over the year and the best month for tourism climatic comfort is on April with 3 classes of ideal, excellent and very good category. the next months are May and October with excellent and very good category. January and February months (with categories of acceptable, critical and not suitable) and June (good, acceptable and critical classes) have the worth climatic comfort conditions in the year.
