Social Consequences of Famines during Naser al- din Shah Region

Several famines accrued during Naser al-din shah region which led to grave consequences. Famines have had aspects such as social turbulence like manipulation, robbery and brigandage. Hunger, poverty and nervous breakdown from losing beloved ones, often forced people to suicide. Another disastrous aspect of this period is man-eating which indicates people’s hunger and indigence. Active presence of women in remonstration against that situation will also be discussed in this article.
