Situation of the Caspian Sea in the modern world order

Abstract:
For more than half a century, northern borders of Iran were bounded by an iron curtain which had reduced communications to the minimum level. By Soviet Union collapse, Iran has found a situation as a bridge between people who lived behind the curtain of the former Soviet Union. In this way Iran could take some advantages of its geopolitical location. Among Iran’s northern borders, the Caspian Shores have the best connecting infrastructures like ferry ways, railroads and roads can relate the states which are around the Caspian Sea to the other parts of the world. With limited anticipations, Islamic Republic of Iran can take appropriate advantages of its geopolitical location and achieve to being the center of the economic pole of West Asia (new heart land).
