The Psychology of Ambiguity in Khaghani's Poetry

Khaghani’s poetical works is one of the most ambiguous poetical books in Persian literature. Of course the reasons for ambiguity in Khaghani’s poetry will have a different nature if it is compared with Bidpie’s fables. The reasons for ambiguity in Bidpie fables are often related to factors outside of the writer’s inner being، like politics and the nature of the subject. However، the difficulty factor in Khaghani’s poetry is influenced by internal variables more than any other thing، feelings of inferiority from some family attachments، his fretfulness and ambitious soul on the path of learning different sciences and flowering literary aptitudes. Achieving success in science and literature among the local masters in a small city like Shervan، lead to an early fame for the poet، and allowed him to gain favor at court and in government. Contact with untalented lords of power and wealth and even claimants to mastery in science and literature resulted in frequent internal conflicts، and the discovery of literary talent within himself. Captivity in his hometown also lead to his hopeless، ambitious soul to nightly travel the boundless heavens and earthly psychological consolers. Intermingling with politicians also influenced his language towards caution، generalization، and conservatism.
