A survey about the relationship between fulfilling the expectations of married women from their husbands and marital satisfaction

Given the role of women at home, the present paper employed psychological and sociological theories to examine the relationship between fulfilling the expectations of married women from their husbands and marital satisfaction. It employed survey with questionnaire. The sample size was 226 married women from three districts in Tehran. The findings showed significant relationship between the independent variables and marital satisfaction.Among expectations substantiation, the sexuality dimension (70.3 percent) is maximum and the cooperation dimension (8.6 percent) is minimum. The majority of women (52.6 percent) have expressed high marital satisfaction. The determination coefficient for the independent variables was 0.532; it means that 53.2 percent of variation in the dependent variable is related to the spotted independent variables.
