Coping Styles, Attributional Styles and Depression in Employers:The Moderating Role of Gender

The research purpose is to investigate the relationship between coping styles, attributional styles and depression in employers. Thus, a sample of120employers was selected using the convenience sampling. The instruments used were Coping Styles Questionnaire (CSQ), Attributional Styles Questionnaire (ASQ)and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). The data were analyzed by standard deviation, Pearson correlation and Zr Fisher test. Findings revealed that attributional styles and coping styles are significantly correlated to depression; however, no between-group difference was observed between the male and female employers in terms of coping styles, attributional styles and depression.
