Impact of education culture on developing electronic teaching in Iran

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to investigate the role of culture of education in developing electronic education in Iran. A qualitative research method with grounded theory approach was used for this purpose. Statistical population consisted of all students applied at and instructors engaged in electronic learning at Universities located in Tehran. Stratified random sampling up to adequacy of data was used. Data was then gathered through semi structured interviews. Regarding the systematic grounded theory approach، data collected were categorized through three steps coding- open coding، focusing coding، selective coding. Based on the model designed، findings revealed that impact of technology on teaching environment، change in traditional methods will make electronic education culture and a move toward a mixture of both traditional and electronic method in teaching.
