Rural development planning process in the framework of midterm development plans of Iran

Rural development planning process in the framework of midterm development plans of Iran has always been influenced from two view points of "improvement correction” and "diversification", the applied strategies and paradigms have been adopted thanks to these. Two outlooks. During the years of midterm plans formulated for Iran’s development, ecologic approach toward development of rural areas has been gradually shifting toward the approach of diversification of the existing structures, improvement of spatial–physical system, quitable distribution of services, and eventually socio economic approaches, and sustainable and multilateral development. At each stand of time particular strategies, plans and actions under focus have been appropriate to the outlook dominating the rural development process.
