Effecve Social Factors of Violent Crimes among 18-25 Years-old Male Youth in Hamadan

This survey was to find out social factors effecve on violent crimes among male youth in the city of Hamadan. The factors studied were failure in educaon, violence at home, family separaon, parents’ crimes, learning from mass media, unsuitable friends, ways spending free me, indifference of father of young criminals. The data were gathered through a quesonnaire(α=0.95) from 18-25-years-old criminals prison in Hamadan randomly selected (n=100) and non-criminal youths selected by cluster sampling(n=100). Data were analyzed by using t-test. The analysis showed that failure in educaon, violence at home, family separaon, parents’ crimes, learning from mass media, unsuitable friends, ways spending free me, indifference of father of young criminals had effect on Hamadan’s youth violence. Recommendaons to police were made to use techniques effecve on violent crimes in order to reduce violent crimes among male youth.
