This study examined the effectiveness of Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) on depression and quality subjects of life in MS patients with control of duration of disease. Subjects and
Methods
The original sample was 83 patients who were selected from Isfahan MS association. From this sample 30 patients were randomly selected and randomly divided to two groups as experimental and control. The instruments used for this study were BDI and MSIS-29 scales. The research design was pre and post test with control group.
Results
The results of MANOVA indicated that SIT decreased the depression and increased the quality of life of experimental group in compare with control group. Also, MANCOVA results showed that duration of disease had not any role in the effectiveness of SIT on depression and quality of life in patients.
