Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the demographical predictors of learning disorders for in elemenentary students in of Golestan Stateprovince. In a retrospective cross-sectional study, numbers of 702 elementary students from two grades two to five grade of in gGolestan province were selected by multistage clustering sampling method responded to and completed a Ddemographical information questionnaire, Tthe Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised (WISC-R), and Tthe Myklebust Rating Scale to assess overall learning disabilities along with a clinical interview to assess overall learning disabilities. Data were analyzed by Cchi- square and enter binary Llogistic Rregression methods with PASW software. Results showed that socio-economic Sstatus and location of residiencye location significantly able to differentiate students with learning disorders from those without learning disorders. The total regression model showed that 96.9% of this sample was were classified correctly. lLower socio-economic status and residiencey in rural areas have contributeion in to the overall incidence of total learning disorders and predicted the greater variation in probability likelihood of having a the learning disorders. These results have applied iimplications for programming interventions programming and remedial training for learning disabled childrenorders
