    Imidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles are obtaind in excellent yields from the addition reaction between thiohydantoin and ethylbromopyruvate. These imidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles in the presence of p-TSA in boiling toluene refluxed for 2.5 hours led to imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole-3-carboxylates in elimination reactions.

    In this study , Copper oxide as a good and inexpensive adsorbent has been introduced and used for the removal of erythrosine and red carmoisine dyes from several water solutions successfully. The effect of various parameters such as pH, dye concentration, amount of adsorbent, contact time and temperature on removal processing was investigated. Adsorption isothermal data could be interpreted by the Langmuir and Freundlich, isotherm models.

    In this study, a one-pot and efficient method is reported for the synthesis of symmetrical disulfides from alkyl halides in the present of sulfur and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydroxide as a basic reagent and phase transfer catalyst. The reaction proceeded very fast and afforded the desired products in moderate to excellent isolated yields.

    An efficient cyclization of 2’-hydroxychalcone to flavanone using calcium chloride as a catalyst was developed. The scope of the reaction was studied with substituted 2’-hydroxychalcone and these chalcones was converted into corresponding flavanone in good yield. The merits of this method are inexpensive and easily available catalyst, easy workup procedure, avoid use of toxic solvent.

    A series of N alkyl 2 ketomethylquinoline derivatives were synthesis by reaction of benzoyl chloride derivatives with N methyl quinaldine iodide in the presence of triethyl amine under microwave irradiation. Enaminone form of the product study by spectroscopy method. The result revealed the N alkyl 2 ketomethylquinoline the fixed enaminone tautomer.
