We aimed to assess mild hemophilia and relationship between blood parameters and genetic pattern and bleeding in patients with mild hemophilia. This cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study was performed on 50-member family was screened for people with mild hemophilia. To detect gene mutations in patients, peripheral blood was taken DNA was extracted to assess DNA variant of factor VIII by the PCR method and finally DNA sequences was determined using the ALFexpress autoread sequencing. The rate and severity of bleeding was evaluated using a special questionnaire. Out of 50 subjects studied, 32 (64.0%) including 16 men and 16 women were carriers for hemophilia, while 18 (36.0%, 13 men and 5 women) were normal for the disease. The mean level of factor VIII was significantly lower in those suffering mild hemophilia as compared to normal people (23.69 ± 4.30 versus 73.39 ± 3.42, p < 0.001). Similarly, the mean PTT was also higher in mild hemophilia group than in healthy group (34.00 ± 1.69 versus 26.95 ± 0.60, p < 0.001). Most cases with mild hemophilia had no bleeding or suffering mild bleeding. There was no significant correlation between severity of bleeding and the level of factor VIII in mild hemophilia. The gene analysis could confirm the genotype of hemophilia in those patients who were homozygous for factor VIII gene. Lowering factor VIII with overexpression of its related gene is dominant in patients with mild hemophilia; however, it may not be associated with the severity of bleeding in such patients.

In the universities' educational system to enhance the quality of training and determine its strengths and weaknesses, a student monitoring system is necessary. The current study was conducted to determine the relation between pre-internship exam average scores and the basic sciences in Jondishapur University accepted in 2010-2011. The study was an analytical-cross sectional study with 137 subjects from the medical interns selected by the census sampling method. A checklist and researcher completed data. Then, the data were analyzed by SPSS20 software. There was no significant relationship between the gender, marital status, pre-internship test scores, and the basic sciences test scores in the student's acceptance year) P > 0.05(. However, there was a significant relationship between the student's ages and residence situation and their acceptance year (P < 0.05(Also, there was a significant relationship between the student's pre-internship test scores and the basic sciences test scores in 2011. )P < 0.05(. The Pearson correlation test was 0/542 between the basic sciences and the pre-internship scores, indicating a positive relationship between two scores. There was a significant relationship between the student's pre-internship test scores and the basic sciences test scores at 2010) P < 0.05(. Finally, we found predicting the pre-internship test scores at 0/398 (basic sciences test scores) + 7/941. The study results showed that the basic sciences test could be a good predictor of determining students' success in their later educational stages. Accordingly, we must consider the appropriate facilities and tools to encourage students to learn scientific and practical skills

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on medical education at the outset of the pandemic. It was a descriptive web-based research, we asked the students of medical universities across the country about the educational status of Iranian medical universities during this epidemic. After reaching the desired sample size (585 people), the received data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software version 22. The data were collected in March 2020. In all universities, an online system provided by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (called NAVID) Data from 585 students in the study showed The majority (28.3%) of students were from the school of allied medical sciences, followed by nursing and midwifery (24.2%) and the lowest participation (6.6%) was from the school of medicine. The majority (more than 80%) of the students still had no idea when classes and internship courses would start and when they would return to university. we learn is related to students of medical sciences , they need to be educated both in theory and practice on how to provide services under epidemic conditions, and this should be included in their curriculum.

    Background and purpose

One of the important tasks of faculty, in addition to transferring knowledge and skills to learners, is to train students as thoughtful, analytical and critical thinking individuals. The need for critical thinking in medical education in response to the rapidly changing health care environment has been emphasized. One of the main tasks of any medical educational institution, in addition to developing students' professional competencies, is to develop decision-making, problem-solving and self-efficacy skills, which are themselves influenced by the ability to practice critical thinking. The aim of this study was to investigate the critical thinking of the faculty members of the medical school of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in 2020.

    Materials and Methods

This is a descriptive-analytical study. The sample consisted of 53 faculty members of the medical school of the University of Medical Sciences. The data collection tool was the California Critical Thinking Questionnaire Form B. Independent t-test and Pearson correlation were used to analyze the data.

    Results

The mean score of faculties' critical thinking skills was 12.53, which is lower than the average score in the standardization process (15.89). Other findings showed that there is no statistically significant difference between critical thinking and gender, age and academic rank of professors.

    Conclusion

The results of the study indicate the weakness of faculties' critical thinking in critical thinking and all its dimensions, which indicates the need to teach critical thinking skills at the university level.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Floor time play therapy on improving executive actions and cognitive emotion regulation in children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The research design was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design and control group. The statistical population included all the 9-11 years-old boys with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who were referred to Counseling Centers and Psychological Services for Children in Tehran in the first half of 2018.. Data collection tools were Conners Parent Rating of Childhood Behavior Problems (CPRCBP) scale, Structured Clinical Interview, Barkley Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale-Children and Adolescents (BDEFS-CA), and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire-Kids-Persian (CERQ-K-P). After performing the pre-test, the control group waited and the Floortime play therapy for the experimental group was performed in 10 sessions of 45 minutes in a group manner and then, at the end of the treatment interventions,. Research data were analyzed using Descriptive Statistics and Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) and one-way analysis of covariance in the Manco context. The results showed that after the intervention, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and control group in the rate of increase in adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies of positive refocus and refocus on planning, and the rate of decrease in maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and insufficiency of executive actions (p<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the experimental group and control group in terms of adaptive strategies for cognitive regulation of emotional acceptance, positive re-evaluation and viewpoint acceptance (p> 0.05).

The study of the mental status of the female clergies’ community is of great importance due to their role in the mental health of the family. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of group cognitive-behavioral therapy on reducing perfectionism, increasing positive affect and improving the psychological performance of female clergies The statistical population of this study included all female clergies. The statistical sample also included 32 female clergies who were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The sample responded to the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS), the Positive and Negative affect Scale (PANAS) and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-42) in the pre-test and post-test stages. The results were analyzed using SPSS-23 software and multivariate analysis of covariance. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance indicated that group cognitive behavioral therapy had a significant effect on research variables and there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (P <0.001). Based on the findings, the use of psychological therapies is effective in improving the performance and increasing the psychological efficiency of female clergies. Therefore, psychological strategies can be used to increase the mental health of female students more than before.
