Objective
Scientific papers usually contain information and data that we call them statistics. We expect statistics to provide us with a suitable description of the data by summarizing.
Scientific journals have specific frameworks for this work in mention to writers and readers can understand statistical concepts with a common terminology.

Clinical databases have been developed in recent years especially during the course of all medical concerns including laboratory results. The information produced by the diagnostic laboratories have great impact on health care system with various secondary uses. These uses are sometimes as publishing new extracted information of laboratory reports which have been widely applied in the scientific journals. Nowadays, some large scale or national databases are also formed from the integration of these data from smaller centers in the field of human health in many countries. These databases are beneficial for different stakeholders who may need these information. Unfortunately, reviewing some of these uses has indicated lots of errors in quality control, test validity, uniformity and so on. More importantly, some of the diagnostic procedures have been applied in the clinical diagnostic laboratories without even preliminary clinical evaluation studies. Therefore, any taken conclusion from these analyzed data may not be reliable. This use requires checking the several specifications that have been notified in this study. Current review also intends to show how the correct information should be to extract for the scientific reports, or integrated in large scale databases.Keywords: Laboratory data, Scientific report, Data Integration

چگونه نتایج مطالعه با کاربرد مدل یابی معادلات ساختاری را گزارش دهیم؟: راهنمایی برای تهیه مقالات علمیمدل یابی معادلات ساختاری (Structural equation modeling: SEM) و تکنیک های زیر مجموعه از جمله تحلیل عامل تاییدی (Confirmatory Factor Analysis: CFA) و تحلیل مسیر (Path analysis) به خانواده ای از فرآیندهای قوی آماری اطلاق می شوند که به منظور آزمون روابط پیچیده بین متغیرهای انسانی به کار گرفته می شود. این دسته از تکنیک ها برای مقاصد متعددی از جمله آزمون فرضیه ها در مورد روابط بین متغیرها در قالب مدل های تجربی و نیز ساخت و روانسنجی ابزار های سنجش مورد استفاده قرار می گیرند. پژوهشگران گامهای متعددی را در انجام این دسته از مطالعات دنبال می نمایند؛ بنابراین گزارش دقیق نتایج به ویژه در قالب مقاله، یکی از مهمترین ملاحظاتی است که آنان باید مد نظر داشته باشند. گزارش باید در برگیرنده تمام اطلاعات مهم پژوهش باشد؛ به طوری که به خوبی امکان ارزشیابی و تکرار مطالعه را فراهم نماید. با این وجود هنوز هیچ اجماعی در مورد نحوه دقیق نگارش چنین گزارشاتی حاصل نشده است؛ از اینرو تا کنون راهنماهای مختلفی برای نحوه گزارش اجزای مختلف این دسته از پژوهش ها تدوین شده است و مجلات و نیز افراد مختلف نیز ساختارهای مختلفی را دنبال نموده اند؛ که گاه این مسئله خوانندگان را با ابهام مواجه می سازد. لذا این نوشتار بر آن است تا نکات ضروری گزارش نتایج پژوهش با استفاده از مدل یابی معادلات ساختاری یا تکنیک های زیر مجموعه را در قالب ساختار رایج نگارش مقالات متشکل از مقدمه و هدف، روش اجرا، نتایج، بحث و نتیجه گیری به اختصار معرفی نماید.

The researchers follow variety of steps to conduct these types of the studies. Therefore it is important for researchers to concisely report their own study as a scientific paper. The report is supposed to encompasses all important information so that the study could be evaluated and replicated as well. Therefore variety of guidelines has already designed to guide reporting the various parts of this kind of studies. Nevertheless there is no single agreed guideline yet; so various journals and people may follow different structures that may lead the readers to be confused. Therefore the present paper aimed to briefly introduce some critical notes about the report of the results of SEM and related studies compatible with common scientific writing structures consisted of background and objectives, methods, results and discussion.Keywords: Structural equation modeling (SEM), Human sciences, scientific report
