Protect the safety of witnesses in the criminal procedure process

Witnesses testify in all legal systems is considered as one of the most incriminating evidence. Excessive attention to the content testimony of readers cause to neglect from the testimony of witnesses. Witness is responsible for accuracy of testimony. in serious and organized crime witness is threatened, particularly in the area of criminals and their collaborators, physical and mentally. for this reason witnesses willing reduced to cooperate with the judiciary and as a result reduced chance of crimes detection.With regard to the above mention point’s protection of witnesses in the various aspects of financial, security, psychological has been considered in international conventions, criminal courts and judicial procedures. Unfortunately this point has been neglected in the current Iranian laws. Given the current weakness,legislator of Criminal laws have been started Procedure that tried to upgrade the witness protection in our laws. If the bill passed by the legal authorities we will be taken a major step forward in this field.
