A Study of Fantasy Images in Boris Vian's Foam of the Days

Fantasy literally means a creative mind and dreaming. The fantasy images hide merely in itself a shadow of the authentic world. It should be noted that fantasy is distinct from fantastic. Boris Vian, the twentieth century writer of Foam of the days wrote in a fantasy style. In this novel, themes such as love, death and disease are very important. Three couples named Colin - Chloé, Chick- Alice and Nicholas - Isis live in a world full of fantasy characters. They are suspended on a chain at the time and place. Our aim in this paper is to study the aspects of fantasy in the time, place and characters’ structures.
