Cellulitis is an acute infection of cutaneous and subcutaneous tissue. Inaccurate treatment of cellulitis can cause important complications like abscess, myositis, osteomyelitis, bacteremia, septicemia, endocarditis, meningitis, and other complications and can lead to death.
