Studying the sexual deviation of youths (case study: west of Tehran)

The development trend in our society and causes such as overpopulation, the interracial gap, excessive growth of marginalization in the great cities have resulted in social chaos. One of the most important consequences of this chaos is the social deviations of the youths such as sexual deviations. Whereas the sexual deviations of Iranian youths due to being similar to taboo have been discussed less, the extant research has been applied for studying the sexual deviations of youths in one of western regions of Tehran Province within two consecutive years (2006-07)1. This research has been applied as a case study and benefited from qualitative and quantitative techniques. The sampling group of extant research is consisted of all students with the age range of 14-19 in one of marginal regions at the west of Tehran who have been selected via systematic (regular) sampling method. The most important tools for collecting the data of this research are questionnaire and interview. The descriptive results indicate the high rate of sexual deviations and considerable increase of these deviations during one year as well as. For analyzing these events, three theoretical models of pressure, social disorganization and control, and association abundance have been used as competing theories. The coefficient of expression of competing theories is relatively high and considerable (R2 (pressure theory)=0.45, R2 (social disorganization and control theory) = 0.24 and R2 (association abundance=0.36), but we have achieved an integrated model by means of contextual and indigenous knowledge along with a higher coefficient of expression (R2=0.55). also, the analytical results of this study may be used for localization of social disorganization and control theory.
