Application and comparative investigation of AHP and fuzzy analysis models in locating proper sites--Case study: Industrial Township of Birjand
The location of industrial areas is a key factor in regional planning due to social، economic and environmental impacts that such kinds of decisions might have on any territory. Today، using spatial data and facilities of Geographical Information System are important for industrial site selection. In this research، at first proper factors and criteria for finding the place for industrial areas were determined and then it was prepared for entry to fuzzy function and hierarchical analysis in Arc Sdm 3، Export Choice environments. Then، the accuracy of the results of the methods was evaluated through cross tabulation. The results show that the fuzzy model and the APH model used in this research enjoy a correlation co-efficient of 53 %. The present industrial area according to site setting through the fuzzy and APH models enjoys a quality percentage of 96. 62 and 56. 98، respectively، reflecting the fact that the current industrial area، on the basis of the mentioned models، has been located in a site agreeable to the principles of an ecological sustainable development.
