Aristotle's and Ibn Sina's Metaphysics versus Plato's Ideas

It is believed that according to Plato's metaphysics, each one of corporeal world species has an individual in the immaterial world which is illuminated, immaterial, rational, independent and self- sufficient and which governs corporeal individuals and species. Plato's goal in representing this view was to justify permanence in the world and therefore possibility of certain knowledge of material objects. Plato's view has been assumed to be in contradiction to that of Aristotle and Ibn Sina and to be irrational and not logical. In this paper, first we will describe the general form of these two views. Then we will evaluate arguments for Ideas view and also arguments against it. Then we will show how Plato's metaphysics and that of Ibn Sina and Aristotle contradict each other. Then we will discuss whether Plato's metaphysics can prove the existence of a world beyond the corporeal world. Finally we will represent a theory which can help to find a consistency between philosophy and other sciences by an inter-course approach.
