Post-Modernism or Neo-Romanticism

Both schools of Romanticism and Post-Modernism have had a significant impact on the development of thoughts, ideas and literary and artistic styles in the history of western society. In this paper, the similarities of schools of Post-Modernism and Romanticism are reviewed from three different points of view; however, the goal is not irrevocably proving the similarity of ideas of Post-Modernism and Romanticism. Therefore, this paper attempts to interpret aesthetic characteristics of both schools in limited cases. It, first, providesa framework for evaluating the importance and role of both schools and then informing us about how historical development of visual arts occurred in these schools. This research begins with the study and analysis ofproposed concepts in a theoretical field. And then, by considering the criteria specified in the related ideas, it provides a general model for understanding and completing more effective components
