Scientific production of nutrition school of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Scopus and ISI in 2009-mid2012

Abstract:
Background
Considering rapid growth of scientific productions, there is need to be minored. This study designed to assess scientific productions of Nutrition School of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Scopus and ISI databases during 2009 to mid-2012.
Materials And Methods
Through a descriptive study on all faculty members of Nutrition faculty, their scientific productions and H-index were assessed in Scopus and ISI databases during 2009 to mid-2012 divided by years. Data were presented using means of total articles, articles during 3.5 years ago divided by years and H-index in Scopus and ISI. means of this indices were compared using ANOVA.
Results
Means for articles during 2009-2011 was 0.66 (SD=1.37), 2.29 (SD=4.10) and 2.63 (SD=4.69) respectively article per faculty member. This numbers were 0.91 (SD=2.13), 1.63 (SD=3.13) and 2.20 (SD=3.86) for ISI. There was no statistically meaningful difference between means of number of articles and citations in Scopus and ISI (P> 0.05).
Conclusion
Scientific productions and citations in Scopus and ISI had an increasing trend during last 3 years.
