THE MYTHS IN THE POETRY OF NIMA AND NAZOK AL-MALAEKE, THE PIONEERS OF PERSIAN AND ARABIC POETRY
Author(s):
Abstract:
The comparison of the literature of two nations who have different languages and political geographies will result in the discovery of their similar concerns and literary developments and shows how much similarities could two poets have in their form and content in spite of having different languages. While holding this view the present article studies and compares the mythology applied in the poetry of the two modern poets namely Nima and Nazok Al-Malaeke and concludes that they were obliged to use ancient and modern myths in their poetry for expressing their concerns about social and political issues due to the political hardship of their rulers.
