Review of the Characterization in the Scorched Earth

The war literature stays among the everlasting literatures and provides a tangible illustration of the events at the frontier, during the war and the aftermath of the war. Thus far, no extraordinarily piece has been created to express the fear and catastrophe ensuing war. Therefore, the war literature requires novelists who own a broad view and a style commencing from a divine wisdom. The Scorched Earth is one of the most successful pieces of the war literature. Through this novel, the characters have been dissected elaborately and their corporeal aspect has been described delicately. On occasions, the writer has deliberately described the anonymous characters. In this article, we review the characterization and the causes of the war in The Scorched Earth.
