Studying Consideration of Karaj Township's Agricultural Production Cooperatives: Dimensions of Sustained Agriculture in Perspective of Principles of Cooperatives

The purpose of this research was studying the consideration of Karaj Productive Cooperatives regarding dimensions of sustained agriculture in perspective of principles of cooperatives. The population included agricultural production cooperatives in Karaj province (N=1120). Using the Cochran sampling formula 177 individuals were selected as the sample for this study. The research instrument used was a questionnaire that its face and content validity was gained by a panel of experts. A pilot test of the instrument resulted in a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.7. Findings showed that highest performance of cooperative in achieving sustainable agriculture is in Social dimension and lowest performance is related to Environmental dimension of sustainable agriculture. The results of correlation analysis also indicated that there was a positive and significant relationship between performances of cooperatives in dimensions of sustainable agriculture with its achievement level of sustainable agriculture. Results of the regression analysis showed that three variables consisting The environment, the social, the cultural dimension were explaining 66.1 percent of the dependent variable (Achieving sustainable agriculture) variances changes.
