Training Needs Assessment of Religious Education in Tehran Universities (Academic Year 90-91)

The present study aims to analyze the educational needs including knowledge competencies, attitudinal competencies and skill competencies of Islamic sciences teachers in Tehran universities. The method of the research is survey descriptive. The results of the survey indicate that due to the average empirical comments, Islamic sciences teachers are attempting to develop knowledge in 18 topics. The author of the survey concludes that teachers in this research enjoy -even higher than average- teaching interest, interest to the topics, systematic approach, and fatherly attitude to university students. Therefore no need for programming fore developing the pre uttered views is observed.
