The relationship of organizational perceived justice and social responsibility in Yazd hospitals, Iran

Abstract:
Introduction
Perceived organizational justice means the degree to which the initiatives of an organization toward employees perceived to be fair. The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between perceived organizational justice and social responsibility in Yazd hospitals، Iran.
Method
The cross sectional descriptive analytical study was carried out in six Yazd public، private and charity hospitals. The study population comprised of employees and discharged patients of these hospitals. A total of 259 employees and 259 patients contributed in the study. Data was gathered through two questionnaires of Beugre perceived organizational justice and WHO social responsibility. Data analysis was done through SPSS software using descriptive statistics and analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson’s correlation coefficient tests.
Results
The mean scores of distributive، procedural، interactional and systemic justice of studied hospitals were 71. 31 ± 14. 66، 58. 91 ± 16. 15، 48. 26 ± 17. 21 and 93. 99 ± 24. 70، respectively. In addition، the mean score of hospitals perceived organizational justice was 59. 10 ± 11. 56. The mean score of social responsibility was 77. 92 ± 11. 60. There was a significant statistical relationship between perceived organizational justice and social responsibility of studied hospitals. Discussion and
Conclusion
According to the results، any initiative to make the payments، organization official processes and supervisor’s behavior with employees more equal will improve the level of hospital social responsibility which in turn، will improve the brand image of hospital in customers’ minds.
