Analysis of rural tourism in development of rural areas (Case study: Gorgan area, Nikshahr Township)

Tourism is capable of reducing environmental damage and help economic and social development in border and low level areas. In this regard tourism particularly considering as a new source of income for villagers especially rural villagers in developing countries and somewhat solve or at least reduce their problems. This requires special planning and management program. In this article we seek to answer this question: What are the factors affecting the operation of rural tourism, For the optimal operation of the rural development and improving quality of life for local residents should be on whether there are strategies and solutions The potential and limitations of the study and analysis of tourism in rural areas of Gorgan And the feasibility and priority ranking of tourism's role in program planning and development in rural villages has been studied. This article is based on the experts and the local elite and the Delphi technique and SWOT Using survey methods, field studies and determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to provide strategy and the strategy. Analysis results show that the study area of interest from the tourism industry has a high potential and because of the diverse and abundant attractions and opportunities will play a constructive role in rural development, especially economic and social development of rural areas.
