Impact of Information and Communication Technology on learning styles (Case study: smart schools in Qom)

The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of ICT technologies on learning styles in secondary school students in Qom province as smart schools. According to the existing literature in this area, four hypotheses were proposed and tested. Students in Qom smart schools were selected as samples by using random sampling. Kolb's Learning Style Inventory was used as a tool for this study. 353 students in two stages before and after 3 months of using information and communication technology (ICT), answered questionnaires. The descriptive statistics and inferential (T-test dependent, Kramer and Wilcoxon's test) was used for data analysis. The results showed that the use of (ICT) learning style concrete experience (CE) and abstract conceptualization (AC) has been effective (p<0/05) but reflective observation (RO) and active experimentation (AE) has no significant effect indirectly (p> 0/05). Therefore we concluded that the use of information and communication technologies can change the way of learning by students.
