Determination the values of employees based on Allport value system theory (Case study: Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences)

Background And Aims
Institutional values are Infrastructures for fulfillment the ideals and goals of the organization. According to the difference between the universities of medical sciences employees and their prophecy in manufacturing science and their treatment in diseases، by using the Allport''s value system model in recognizing the values of employees in Shahrekord university of medical sciences، this study was to solve some problems.
Methods
This descriptive study was conducted in Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences with a population of 6891 people and the samples of 385، in autumn of 2012. After determining the sample size by Cochran''s test، the two-stage random sampling method was used to determine the sample size in each unit. A questionnaire consisted of 36 questions that was prepared based on resource contents of reserch index was used for collection the data. Finaly the data were analyzed using Friedman test and t-test.
Results
Data analysis showed that، «social value» was the most accepted value among employees، (23. 86%) and the least important one is concerned for «economic value» (8. 76%). Also in classification of the population into four groups، «social value» was determined as the top value in administrative staff group (22. 27% of employees) and «aesthetic value» considered as the least important one (10. 08% of employees). Counclosion: Based on the result social value is the most important one. considering this point، universities manager should take accounts this in decision making.
