Examining master student's perception of academic integrity, policies and practices, and academic dishonesty

According to recent studies، academic dishonesty is increasing in educational center and universities. The purpose of this study was to examine college academic integrity policies and practices، and level of students’ academic misconducts. Research method was descriptive / co- relational and statistical population included all Master students at Shiraz University. Using stepwise clustered sampling method، 319 individuals were selected from Shiraz University Master students’ population. The Academic Integrity Scale Instrument (Academic Integrity Institution، 2008) was adapted and verified by Cranach’s alpha. The collected data was analyzed via descriptive statistics - t test، one way ANOVA and Scheffe’s follow-up test. The result showed that 95% of students admitted engaging in academic misconduct at least once. Additionally، there was a significant difference between graduate students'' perceptions of academic integrity policies and practices with students’ gender and academic majors.
