Application of Soft Computing in Marine Studies: Advantages and Disadvantages

Soft computing is a set of new computational methods in computer science، artificial intelligence، machine learning، and many other applicable areas. In all these fields، it is required to study، model and analysis very complex phenomena. However rigorous scientific methods in the past failed to provide a simple solution، analytical approach or a complete solution to these problems. Soft computing with an emphasis placing on the human mind is able to solve complicated and unknown problems. This paper introduces and investigates the potential and challenges of implementing this system in marine studies. The experts should consider these advantages and disadvantages when using these techniques.
