Library Anxiety among Students of the faculty of Education and Psychology Based on their Contextual Characteristics

Abstract:
Purpose
Probability of correlation between gender، field of study، grade، of students and the level of eight dimensions of library anxiety were examined. Design/Methodology/Approach: Sample comprised of 123 students. A revised version of Van Kampen''s Multidimensional Library Anxiety Scale was used.
Findings
79 percent of students have experienced average and high levels of anxiety. Library and Information Science students showed the least، while students of Exceptional Children and Sport Science showed the highest level of anxiety. Male students experienced higher levels of library anxiety than females، and econd and third term students respectively showed lowest and highest levels of library anxiety. Access to services showed evoked highest level of anxiety، wheras contact with the and library staff caused the lowest level، on average.
Conclusion
Library anxiety is a common among postgraduate students of the Faculty
