Track Potash Rock of Moghuye Salt Dome

Moghuye salt plug islocated in Hormozgan Province (south of Iran), on the Persian Gulfcoast,40km west of BandarLenge.It is a fountain type extrusion salt plugconsisted ofplutonicand volcanic rocks which its flow has stopped because of discontinuation of salt supply,necessary for the diapirism process.Salt always has regular bandsand folds with oblique angles. The most important type of foldsissheet-flow layering, parallel to the hinge line.Thickness of potash units in the Moghuyesalt plug range fromafew centimeters to several meters and the units vary over a few tens of meters in length;mostly outcropping on the western flanks of the salt plug.
