Exploring a Variety of Conflicts in the Ethics of Family in Relation with Illegitimate Sexual Relations before Marriage

Family is the largest training school in which most of the human emotions are shaped and a suitable setting to manifest human excellence and potentials is provided. In order for this small but significant social unit to have such function, it should be formed based on a careful and proper selection and the relationships within the unit especially the relationship between spouses should be based on ethical codes and indication of emotions. This is when the true peace is manifested within the family and the true meaning of accommodation (family as a place to live) is clarified. There are continuously a variety of factors inside and outside the family which threaten it and make their pathology from a perspective of ethical and educational aspects a necessary task for the researchers. One of these harms is the sexual relations before marriage which may cause disputes and conflicts in the family and if not quickly solved can finally lead to the family breakdown. In this paper, applying the library method and descriptive-analytic approach, the author tries to explore some of the problems occurred in the family as a result of previous sexual relations of each of the spouses before marriage and to reveal the effects of such behaviors from the viewpoints of ethical principles and offers some solutions.
