The Influence of the Sound and the Furry on Gassan Kanfani and Abbas Maroofi in Ma Tabaggi Lakom and Symphony of the Dead

The Sound and the Furry written by William Faulkner is one of the most famous and effective novels of the world; it is especially of the works written in the form of stream of consciousness novels. Many story writers have been under effect of this novel. Many novelists have been influenced by this novel; Gassan Kanfani, Palestinian novelist, and Aabbas Maroofy, Iranian novelist, have been influenced by The Sound and the Furry in their novels titled Ma Tabaggi Lakom and The Symphony of the Dead. Main result of this research is that they are under effect of the Sound and the Furry in terms of the stream of consciousness, similar characters, and the ending of the novel. This influence is accompanied with creation and innovation. Thus, the aim of this research is to refer to Kanfani and Maroofi's innovations in relation to the Sound and the Furry.
