Indentifiying The Factors of SuccessfulMarriage: A Qualitative Study

The purpose of this study was to identify personal, family, cultural-social, marital and spiritual predictive factors on successful marriage. Statistical population were successful couples of TABRIZ city that 40 couples of health centers with purpose sampling were selected. For validity data 10 successful couple and 20 devorced couple from same society were choice. Semi-structured interview, SAD questionare and attitude survey for evaluate validity of successful marriage components was used. Grounded theory applied to analyze data. The results showed that predictive factors about successful marriage were included 1. marital, 2. personal, 3. ethical and spiritual, 4. family adn 5, cultural-social factors. Also result showed that wife choice was personaly and couples were familiar together and families have protective, guidance role and some time passive role for marriage of coples. In all aspects, ethical factors such good ethical behavior and loyalty were stressed. Ability ofmeet of life costs, cultural similarity is important. Individualism was decreased adn couples regard to interaction with flexibly, protective and Adaptive style. Couples oriented to nuclear family but they were keep their relation with familis and respect them. regarding to component to this research can be an important role to achieve successful marriage and increase marital quality. also was useful in pre-marriage counseling.
