Explanation of the Role of Social Asset in Knowledge Management Usage in the Medical Sciences University of AJA through a Structural Equation

Abstract:
Usage of knowledge management system in organization is a collective, networking and organizational movement in which all people at different positions should be involved. The main purpose of this research is to explain the role of social asset in the use of knowledge management in the Medical Sciences University of AJA through structural equation modelling. The present research aims at conducting an applied study through the descriptive-survey correlation data collection method. The research society includes all faculty members of the medical Sciences University of AJA. Because of some limitations in the society, the all population was used. The research instruments are two standard questionnaires of social asset and establishment of knowledge management system. The Cronbach’s alpha of these questionnaires was calculated to be 0.86 and 0.83, respectively. The data collection was performed through descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation tests; Friedman route analysis and investigation of causal relations between the variables were carried out by structural equation model. The descriptive findings of this research show that the current status of social asset and knowledge management system in the Medical Sciences University of AJA is rather unfavorable. Moreover, the results showed that there is a significant relationship between social asset and the organizational dimensions of knowledge management system usage (except for the dimension of organizational structure). The results of route analysis showed that the communicative dimension of social asset explains the most changes in the dimensions of knowledge management usage (dependent variable), and after that, cognitive and structural dimensions, respectively, are responsible for changes in the dependent variable. Finally, the results of structural equations’ modeling revealed that the model enjoys a proper and acceptable fit. According to these findings and given the importance of social asset as an important organizational asset, there is the expectation that reinforcement of this important element be provided for.
