School and prevention of substance use: reviewing approaches and principles for preventing of substance use in children and adolescents

Children and adolescents are the most vulnerable groups for substance use. So, different programmes have been developed for them. In this article, first we review the approaches to prevention, then the important issues in developing, planning, assessing, distributing the programme will study and the current problems and obstacles in relation to 16 NIDA’s principal of primary prevention will investigate. The relevance of the prevention principals with current obstacles and problems in the field of prevention for children and adolescents will help the planners and decision makers in the field of educational and health, to design and implement the programmes with high efficiency and less problems.
