Evaluation and ranking of education development in nineteen Education areas of in Ardabil province

The purpose of this study was to measure and rank the relative level of development in educational districts of Ardabil province considering the 34 educational indexes. This is an applied research and uses analytic methods. The needed data were obtained through documental method using national and provincial statistical yearbooks as well as statistical records of education department. For the evaluation and ranking of areas according to educational development the multi-criteria decision making models(VIKOR) were used. To investigate the development of training and education areas of Ardabil, The subject indexes were loaded as standardized weight indexes in VIKOR model framework using a combination of dual comparison and weighted entropy method to obtain the grade and ranking of each district in relation to subject indexes. Then the final leveling values of the nineteen educational districts of Ardabil were entered in Arc GIS environment to draw the enjoyment map of the province. Findings indicate that District 2 and District 1 of Ardabil and khorosh Rustam areas are in first, second and third places, while Arshaq, Aslanduz and Hare are ranked seventeenth to nineteenth. The result is that there is a great disparity between school districts of Ardabil province and there is an urgent need to plan to reduce these inequalities.
