Content Analysis of Elementary and Junior High Schools Textbooks Regarding Issues Related to Social and Moral Values

School textbooks are the most important and used textbooks in any country, including Iran. This article is the result of research by content analysis in the field of moral values indexes taught in Iran's elementary and junior high schools. The unit of analysis in this study is sentence.The findings suggest that the variable "good help" with "seriousness and effort" are the most frequent in the primary and junior high schools curriculum.In the Persian texts both in degree and frequency related to the moral values are higher than other textbooks.The results, also, indicate that with increasing age and higher grade in primary school, the frequency of moral values among textbooks are increased.
