Climate Zoning of Kerman and Hormozgan Provinces For Using Proper Bitumen Based on Performance Grading

Common system of bitumen nomenclature has based on penetration. In spite of classical assortment of asphalt binder, theoretically and directly bitumen properties according to superpave is based on efficiency. Therefore, in this study, high and low temperature of pavement is calculated according to the synoptic data of the past 20 years for Kerman and Hormozgan province. With the use of calculated PGXXYY for each city, geographical zoning is made by GIS software and the result shows that produced bitumen of the country (for climatic condition) is satisfactory for the roads of these provinces.
