Evaluating Tehran Rail Network Coverage in Sub-Cities

Considering high life costs and lack of appropriate housings in Tehran in recent years, many sub-cities has been made around Tehran that is highly relative to it. Due to modern life pattern in these sub-cities, immigration from Tehran to them has become popular and, therefore, new transportation facilities are required there. Thus, extending Tehran subway network to these cities is considered as a policy in urban management system in order to connect cities to each-other and Tehran. In current study, existing rail network coverage was evaluated using some parameters and economic analysis. The scenarios were simulated by EMME/2 software. The results showed that connecting sub-cities to the rail network is prior.
