Theme-Creation and Visualization through Geographic Signs in Hooshang Ebtehaj's poetry (Sayeh)

Poets always create beautiful poetic images in different ways or create various themes by different methods. One of the ways for creating poetic images and themes is to benefit from geographic signs. This study، by providing a certain definition of image and theme، aims to identify the geographic signs in Sayeh’s poetry and to show the frequency of these signs. This study analyzes - descriptive presentation and statistical tables have been performed The findings show that Sayeh in his sonnets out of 1083 verses has created themes 91 times which include 79 cases of general names and 12 cases of proper names. In creating poetic images، Sayeh has visualized 137times by geographic signs throughout which he has taken advantage of all expressive techniques among which simile and metaphor have been used most frequently. Sayeh in his poetry has benefited much from those signs which were found at his home and living environment.
