Impact of Story Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy on Reducing Emotionaland Behavioral Disorders in Adolescents
The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of story therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy on reducing emotional and behavioral disorders in adolescents. Thirty high school students with emotional and behavioral disorders were selected by random sampling procedure and assigned in 3 groups. Each groups consisted of 10 students، out of the groups 2 groups were experimental، and 1 control groups. SCL-90-R test was given to the students to measure emotional and behavioral disorders. Cognitive-behavioral therapy program design by Michael Free (1999)، and story therapy a combination of Gail Morton (2000)، and doctor Burns (2005) were applied. To analyze of data ANOVA was employed. Result of this study revealed that in general، both treatments are effective on the reduction of depression، anxiety، hostility، phobias، paranoid thoughts، interpersonal sensitivity، obsessive - compulsive and psychotic at the level of P.
