The Study of Cultural and Social Effects of the Insecurity of Women in Urban Spaces

Security is a fundamental right and a perquisite for promoting the welfare and the safety of people’s life, it is considered as an important issue of each society and the beginning of each system’s political and social existence. The feeling of security is related to the citizens’ psychological sense of security. Thus, providing it or not providing it, will bring a lot of subjects and matters. Women are considered as a defenseless group against insecurity. In this paper, we will study cultural and social effects of the insecurity of women after explaining the meaning of security and urban spaces, and then we will provide solutions to promote the safety of the environment and the society in order to reduce crime and insecurity against women.
