An Assessment of the Relationship Between River Flow, Parameters and Quality Variables Water: A Case Study of Northern Rivers in Hormoz Strait

Human has caused the pollution of water resources is increased and its quality reduced by interference. In order to achieve management, the present study aimed to consider relationship between discharge and different variables and parameters quality with using artificial neural network and analysis regression in three important rivers in northen Hormoz strait: Minab, Hasanlangi and Jalabi river in Hormozgan Province. The results show that in more cases the relationship between discharge and water quality variables was logarithmic and linear. In addition, the comparison between regression analysis and artificial neural network with two methods showed that RBF has better function that the others methods. The most and the least amount of root mean square are 632.02, 1894.97, 3972.96 and 0.59, 0.79, 0.26 in Minab, Hasanlangi and Jalabi. The most and the least electrical conductivity values were 28200 and 242 (Mmohos/cm) for Jalabi and Minab, respectively. Minab river has good and moderate quality for drinking and agriculture with an average discharge 33.37 m3/s in 1982-2009. Because of Minab river is supplying sweet water of Bandarabbas has a main role and nowadays for different pollutants, its quality has many oscillations, officials and managers should notice to sustainable and water management in this area.
