Behavior-based safety, main strategy to reduce accidents in the country

Today, diseases and work-related accidents are one of the main concerns of those involved in the labor and workplace health and safety issues has become. In this study, unsafe behavior intervention workers of a company car using the safety sampling, observation and interviews were used.In the first phase after the definition of unsafe behavior, to determine the level and types, 115 workers and the number 9200 was observed. Demographic variables associated with workers using questionnaires were collected. In the second phase after 3 months of intervention, including education workers and supervisors, safety signs and the use of punishment and rewards, were repeated. The findings showed that 13.9 percent of workers in the first phase and the second phase of unsafe behavior to 04/9 percent. Among these behaviors, poor ergonomic conditions and lack of protection was the most frequent. The number of unsafe behavior and a history of previous incidents (001 / 0P <) and education (05 / 0P <) there was a significant relationship. But the number of unsafe behavior by age, experience, number of dependents, a significant relationship was observed. The results show a tendency of behavior-based safety, one of the main strategies to reduce unsafe behavior and consequently to reduce the rate of accidents is in the industries of the country.
