The Effect of Preparation Education for Marriage on Marital Expectations of the Under Contract Girls in Isfahan City

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of preparation education for marriage on marital expectations and their elements among under contract girls in Isfahan city. Quasi experimental and pre – test and post – test design with control group was used for the research method. Statistical population included all the Aghd girls who referred to one of the cultural centers of the Isfahan city and a sample of 60 Aghd girls were selected among the volunteers who enrolled in the project (they achieved higher scores in the marital expectation questionnairethan other people) they were divided randomly into control and experimental groups. Measuring instrument used in the study was Omidvar’s attitudes marital questionnaire (2008). The result of this study showed that preparation education for marriage on the marital expectations of girls are dimensions including: expectation of spouse as a friend or a supporter، expectation of marital life and expectation of ideal relationship at post – test step was significantly effective. (p<0. 005). So it can be said that marriage preparation education is effective in improving marital expectations and dimensions.
